A few years back Kelly became interested in learning even more about holistic wellness, and started a personal journey of studying alternative healing modalities that deal with the mind/body/spirit/emotion connection. She is now a certified Level ll Reiki practitioner, a Certified YogaInstructor and Chair Yoga Instructor (so that she could share the immeasurable benefits of yoga with those who may have physical challenges preventing them from doing yoga on the floor), a Registered Holistic Nutritional Consultant (RHN - graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Dartmouth, NS). Kelly is also a Registered Reflexology Therapist. She has also taken Level 1, 2, and 3 Therapeutic Touch training, with certification pending completion of all requirements.Kelly became a Certified Life Coach, as well as Laughter Yoga leader.Other training/certificates includes Holistic Culinary Certificate Program, East Indian Head Massage and Hand Reflexology. She has also attended many workshops and fairs that have provided her with even more teachings and understanding about how the mind, body, spirit and emotion work, and how making simple changes can create huge impacts in our lives.
Kelly is also a former low-impact aerobics instructor, as well as a CanFitPro Personal Training Specialist. However, she decided not to renew her certifications in these disciplines so she could focus more on her passion for helping others to live happier, healthier and more balanced lives through alternative forms of holistic healing, health and wellness.
Kelly recently launched her own business in May of 2019(“Kelly’s Holistic Healing”), with services being offered in Whycocomagh (at Essentially Yours) and in Inverness (at inverness Chiropractic). She hopes to utilize all of the skills, training, education and experience she has gained over the yearsto assist and empower people as they embark on their own journeys towards personal health and wellness…a journey to a deeper place of peace, harmony and balance.
